Rich family blog photo  Many years ago I was sitting with a group of co-workers.  The oldest member of the group, who was 60-ish, was known for having a long and involved story in response to any question.  Someone asked him if he had any advice for the group and he said, “Don’t wish time away.  It is gone all too quickly by itself.”  And he stopped talking.  (26)

Live consistently by the values you say you believe in.  If you feel love, make sure that it is obvious and stated.  (28)

When facing difficulties, never say “I can’t.”  Say instead, “I haven’t yet learned how,” and then set about learning how.  (29)

Don’t be afraid to dream about your future.  Then make a commitment to that dream by sharing it with your best friends, your favorite teachers, your parents, your extended family, and adult friends.  Many have made their dreams a happy reality for the rest of their lives.  (29)

About

Recipe. According to Encarta, "a list of ingredients and instructions for making something." The thesaurus offers the alternate terms, "formula, guidelines, directions, steps, technique."

And what is the "something" we are aiming for here? Simply a life of robust good health in every important area - spiritual, physical, cognitive, and emotional.

To that end we offer inspirational real-life stories about PEOPLE OF FAITH AND COURAGE; menus and cooking directions meant to fuel your creative inclinations and your healthy body in the form of MUSINGS OF A MIDWESTERN FOODIE; and ADVICE FOR LIFE from the perspective of those who have lived it to maturity. (Click on the green category tabs at the top of this page to learn more about each section.)

Have a taste and see what you think. If you like what we are serving up, please tell your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to stop by for a visit, too.
