Slow Down, Turn Your Focus Outward, Keep the Dream Alive

Take your time:  When you are a young child, take your time to enjoy all the wonders of the world; as you grow, don’t wish your age to be different or your body to be taller, take your time and enjoy where you are.

As a teen remember to always take your time to think through all decisions, consult the Word of God, pray, and learn to love who you are and where you are in life.  As a young adult, take your time to discover what you want to do, and take the steps necessary to reach your goal.

Always remember to take your time and enjoy the life you are blessed with.  As a parent don’t waste a minute.  Take your time to love, play with, enjoy, teach, cherish, and guide your children.  (39)

The sooner you can understand that life is not “about you,” the better.  Search for ways to love and serve and uplift others.  (41)

Don’t be too timid to have a dream for your life, and then never tell yourself that it’s too late to pursue that dream.  (43)

Recipe. According to Encarta, "a list of ingredients and instructions for making something." The thesaurus offers the alternate terms, "formula, guidelines, directions, steps, technique."

And what is the "something" we are aiming for here? Simply a life of robust good health in every important area - spiritual, physical, cognitive, and emotional.

To that end we offer inspirational real-life stories about PEOPLE OF FAITH AND COURAGE; menus and cooking directions meant to fuel your creative inclinations and your healthy body in the form of MUSINGS OF A MIDWESTERN FOODIE; and ADVICE FOR LIFE from the perspective of those who have lived it to maturity.
